Spotlight Vendor : JK Imprints

I am so proud to introduce a wonderful vendor to you all! JK Imprints is such a great shop. They specialize in imprinted beverage, luncheon & dinner napkins. This is such a great way to brand your wedding or event...at an affordable price {always looking for a great deal}! Kapi & her mother own this up & coming business. Most importantly though, I cannot tell you how inspired by Kapi's story.

A couple of years ago a little calendar boy for St. Jude children's hospital named Big
Ben captured my daughters heart.  Chasten decided to raise money to
help kids with Cancer. She started with a Lemonade stand; then
garage sales, craft shows, picking oranges to sell and donated the
proceeds to St Jude Research Center. Shortly after her donation she
received a phone call from Ben's father thanking her for what she
was doing.   She received a letter from St Jude in 2009, inviting her
to come to the Center for a tour and to meet some of the children.
She was invited again in 2010.  Little did we know her baby brother would be diagnosed with a rare aggressive tumor in his right hand and we would actually have to use St Judes who we had donated previously for three years.  He baby brother battled this rare tumor for two years as it kept reoccurring. Which motivated Chasten even more she is donated nearly $10,000 to St Judes since she was in 1st grade. Caden has been tumor free for almost two years and we will continue to help St Judes as St Judes will never turn a child away because of the inability to pay.

We have always wanted a family owned business so this was the
natural next step.  We opened JK Imprints and now have a
production team experienced in quality work and service. We will
continue to support St.Jude and donate a portion of our sales  to
help Kids With Cancer    I’m a proud mom.
Our sincere thanks for visiting our website
Kapi
As a mother, I truly have an amazing amount of respect for Kapi. Please check out her shop & show them support! :)

Where to Stand During Ceremony

Your wedding planner should explain where everyone will stand & how everyone should walk in for the ceremony at your rehearsal. Just a heads up on how you will, more than likely be arranged, I've provided you a diagram. You can pass these out to your attendants for their memory.

This is from the guests view.
I hope this helps! :)

DIY Chalkboard Paint

Chalk boards are a HUGE craze, not just for weddings & parties; they are useful for ANYONE! Chalkboards make fun home decor, teachers can make little chalks boards; I could go on & on. If you purchased a tiny little bottle of chalkboard paint from the craft store, it could cost you $6...PER COLOR! I have a recipe that can cost you $1 per color! Need I say more?

Mix 1 tablespoon of unsalted grout powder (you can purchase this at your local home improvement store) per small bottle of acrylic paint.
Viola! Easy Peasy! The grout powder will last you a very long time!

Enjoy the possibilities

Tampa Wedding Venues

I find one of the hardest decisions to make when planning your wedding is venue selection. The venue can really set the tone of your event. I've compiled a list of great venues in the Tampa area.

Angry Bird Cake

I have always considered to have an artistic personality. I love to create things, whether for profit or just plain fun. I'm proud to say that I believe it's my strong suite. It took me a while to fully realize this & once I did, it was like my eyes were opened to a new world & I wasn't turning back. With this said, I love watching my sweet daughter develop into who she is going to become. My husband was always a jock & I was not so great at sports. I am realizing more and more everyday that my daughter is so much like me. I watched her the other day, study YouTube videos on cake decorating {she is 3!}. She would rather attend her art classes than a gymnastic class, or a bike ride. She asked me if, just for fun we could make an Angry Bird cake. This is what we came up with:

It was so entertaining hearing her tell me "easy, easy mom". She told me I needed to separate the yellow of the egg from the white, so the cake would stay a white color. I am so impressed with her attention to detail.
She is such an amazing little girl & I am so proud of her desire to create.

Office Ideas

We are moving in less than 4 weeks! This sentence gets an exclamation point, because I am beyond excited. To say we have outgrown our home, is an understatement. In our new home, I will have my very own office. I'm super excited to get the decorating juices flowing. I have this chic, sophisticated & glam idea in my head. I want some sort of damask wallpaper on one of the walls. I keep thinking of color schemes & my head keeps going back to a black, white, green, with a few purple statement pieces. I have a few "inspiration pictures". I'm looking at Ikea a.s.a.p!

The first & third are my favorite. I can't wait to get started on this, unbelievably, exciting project! I will keep everyone posted...whether you like it or not! ;)

Baseball Themed Party Package

I've been trying to expand my party packages. My customer base is growing & I'd like to diversify my clientele. I designed this package, with the idea that it can be used for a child's party or an adult's. With my husband's upcoming birthday, I figured I'd base this around his personal taste & love for America's favorite pastime. I'm so pleased with how this package came out! I hope everyone else is too! :)

I think this my favorite invitation I've ever designed. I tied a little bakers twine around the flaps to keep it sealed.

I kept with a navy blue, royal blue & red color scheme while designed this package.

I love this cardboard paper on the cupcake toppers

Paper Rosettes

One great way to take your event to the next level, visually, is adding a backdrop. One beautifully unique & eye catching way is...you guessed it; paper rosettes!! I'll follow up with a step by step tutorial. Beware! These things are time consuming & require a lot of paper. I definitely think that they are worth it though!
